Behind Tek Ura’s work in Albania stands a family of UK churches and friends who pray, give, fundraise and go — carrying the mission forward so our Albanian team never carries it alone. This is the Council of Supporters.
A family of churches carrying one mission
Tek Ura has always been a bridge — between the UK and Albania, between the church and the community, between people and the hope of Christ. The Council of Supporters is where that partnership lives in the UK: a growing network of Baptist churches and individual supporters, stretching from the south coast to Scotland, who have chosen to stand with Tek Ura for the long haul.
Members aren’t simply donors. They are partners in the kingdom — praying, giving, fundraising, offering their skills, and travelling to Albania to see the work first-hand. As our trustees put it: the bridge is built together, or not at all.
Five ways we build the bridge together
Pray
We are, first, a praying community. Every gathering makes real space to pray for the team, the families and the work.
Give
Faithful, regular giving keeps the centres in Tirana and Durrës open and the team supported month by month.
Fundraise
Together we rally behind specific needs — in 2025, the Durrës land, a replacement team vehicle, and an emergency fund after flooding.
Mobilise
Each member church has a representative who keeps Tek Ura on their church’s heart and draws new churches in.
Go
Members visit Albania, join mission trips and the Tirana 10K, and gather in person — friendship that stays personal.
Online through the year, together in person
The Council meets online across the year for updates, prayer and vision — hearing directly from the Albanian team about what God is doing — and comes together in person around key moments.
In February 2026, over 100 supporters from around 30 Baptist churches gathered at Whetstone Baptist Church for Closer, our 10-year celebration, with most of the Albanian team present. It felt less like an event and more like a family reunion.

The Council is chaired by Nick Hudson (Wokingham Baptist Church), with Andy Clarke as Vice-Chair and Secretary. Its work is now strengthened by At the Bridge, our UK sister charity (registered charity no. 1218711), which provides UK governance and Gift Aid for the mission.
