The need

Roma and non-Roma, disabled and able, elderly and young, refugee and neighbour — too often they live side by side yet worlds apart. Isolation and mistrust are their own kind of poverty.

Connect is where the bridge is built. Across our centres in Tirana and Durrës, an average of 537 people gather each week — over a shared meal, in a group, at a camp — and neighbours who once lived as strangers become friends.

Around 503 meals a month are shared through our centres: low in cost, high in impact, and a doorway into lasting relationship and belonging.

A voice from the bridge

“Someone in the group told me: you are allowed to be tired. It is not a failure. It is just true. My mother still does not know me, my son still has hard days — but I am less alone, and that changes everything about how I carry what I carry.”

— Mirela, carer support group, Tirana

Inclusive summer camps

A specialised camp for families of children with complex needs. In partnership with Bridge to Hope, more than 200 people from Tirana and Durrës took part in inclusive day camps.

Immersive visits

Supporting-church teams come and spend a week living alongside our staff, volunteers and families — sharing in the everyday work and going home changed.

Ways to help

  • Sponsor a child's place at camp
