Run for Tek Ura
Take on 10K. Help keep a child in school. Ten years of building bridges — and the best is yet to come.
Harvest is gratitude that grows feet.
For ten years, Qendra Tek Ura has worked alongside Romani and other marginalised families in Tirana — helping children stay in school, and helping neighbours become friends. This October, we're turning ten years of gratitude into ten kilometres of it.
Gratitude looks back at what these ten years have built. Generosity gives out of that thankfulness. Going is gratitude in motion — on race day, together, on the streets of Tirana.
A concrete number, tied to a concrete outcome.

our goal, per runner
Every gift quotes the runner's registration number (TU10K-…), so it goes to the right person and the right family. Our work is independently validated by research and independently audited.
Via Stewardship at stewardship.org.uk/pages/Run10k — add the runner's registration number in the reference box.
To At the Bridge (Tek Ura's UK charity) · HSBC · sort code 40-33-33 · account 13830454. Reference: Tek Ura + the runner's number.
Payable to "At the Bridge" — write the runner's name, "Tek Ura" and their number on the back. Post to: At the Bridge, 3 Faulkner Gardens, Marston Moretaine, MK43 2AA.
UK taxpayer? Gift Aid adds 25% at no cost to your sponsors — Stewardship handles it automatically; for bank gifts we'll send a short Gift Aid form.
What to expect on race day
Route, start time and bib collection are confirmed by Tirana 10K's official organisers closer to race day. Register your interest now with Tek Ura and we'll pass on every detail as it lands — plus a Tek Ura T-shirt and a team to run/walk alongside.
From sign-up to race day
A 3-minute form — no login needed. You'll get a confirmation email with your personal reference (TU10K-…). Keep it: every sponsorship gift and update quotes this number. Have ready: your contact details, country, church (if any), an emergency contact, your event (10K run or walk, half or full marathon) and T-shirt size.
Open the registration form →The race is organised by the Bashkia (Municipality) of Tirana — not Tek Ura — and 2026 entry isn't open yet. When it opens (usually August/September) you enter yourself at tiranamarathon.com; we'll email you the link the moment it's live. Race entry, distances, timing and the course are all managed by the organisers.
Raise a minimum of £250 — our shared aim is £2,000 each. Set up your page at stewardship.org.uk/pages/Run10k, or sponsors can give by bank transfer or cheque (details above).
This is a supporter weekend, not a package holiday — you arrange and pay for your own flights, accommodation and travel insurance. We'll share tips and suggestions.
Send quick updates via the My Travel & Fundraising Update form ↗ (we'll email it with your confirmation) — e.g. when your fundraising passes £250 or your flights are booked. Always quote your TU10K reference.
The weekend in Tirana: alongside the race we'll gather as a supporter family — a Saturday celebration at Tek Ura and time together on the Sunday. We'll confirm details closer to the time. We can't wait to welcome you.
Make it a shared church adventure
The race falls right at the close of Harvest — a natural moment to move from gratitude to generosity to going.
Field a runner (or a team) — every gift quotes their registration number.
Adopt Tek Ura, the runners and Albania in your prayers before and on race day.
A church gift or Harvest collection — including school materials for the poorest children.
Offer a Sunday slot, a notice, an impact story or a sign-up table to spread the word.
Send a small group for a week in Albania — a vision trip that builds long-term partnership.
Welcome & gather — open with thanks for the harvest of God's goodness.
Story — show a slide or two and read an impact story.
Word — a short talk on sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:9 / 2 Corinthians 9:6).
Response — invite runners, take a Harvest gift for school materials, pray over those stepping up.
Sending — point everyone to the sign-up table and giving links; close with "the best is yet to come".
